Stock Market Today: Nifty today 11,750, Sensex rise 100 points; IT stocks under pressure

Godrej Properties buys R.K. Studios' land: Prices of Shares - Godrej Properties gained 5 % after the company purchased R.K. Studios' land, Mumbai.

FMCG major Hindustan Unilever is scheduled to announce its March quarter earnings Today.

Research firm ICICI direct expects HUL to report net profit at Rs 1,452.4 crore which is up 7.5 % YoY and 0.6 % QoQ.

Net Sales are expected to increase by 9.9 % YoY to Rs 10,001.5 crore. EBITDA is likely to rise by 2.6 % YoY to Rs. 2,102 crore, the firm added.

Kotak Institutional Equities expects HUL (Standalone) to report net profit at Rs 1,711.8 crore which is up 21.5 % YoY and 22.2 % QoQ.

According to Kotak, net-sales are expected to increase by 12 % YoY to Rs 10,190.6 crore, while EBITDA is likely to rise by 20.8 % YoY to Rs 2,473.4 crore.

Ajcon Global Services expects the company to deliver PAT CAGR of 20 % over the period 2019-21.

Similarly, Anand Rathi estimates the company to report revenue of Rs 40,128 crore in 2019 and Rs 45,756 crore in 2020. It projects HUL to grow at a CAGR of 13.5 % in the next two years.

The operating margins for the company should continue to improve while the company’s EBITDA margin is expected to be around 21.8 % in 2019 and 22.3 % in 2020, the firm added.

The Sensex rose 41.39 points at 39022.82, while Nifty is up 10.90 pts at 11735.70. About 318 shares have advanced, 187 shares declined, and 31 shares are stable. 

Top Gainer Bharti Infratel, Coal India, HDFC, Bombay Dyeing, Suntech Realty, Yes Bank, IOC, Tata Power are among major gainers, Sun Pharma, NFL, Orient Papers while lossers are Laurus Lab, Jet Airways, L&T Infotech, TCS and Infosys.

Among sectors, except IT and FMCG all other indices are trade Postive.
