Today Benchmark indices opened session higher on strong global cues.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 294 pts, or 0.7 %, to 39,338, with Today top gainer Tata Steel, Kotak Bank, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro, and Vedanta. The broader Nifty 50 index gained 86 pts, or 0.7 %, to 11,777.

All the Nifty sectoral indices, other than Nifty Pharma, were trading in the green today, leading by the gain in Nifty metal and Nifty Realty indices.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index was trading at 14,615, up 72 pts, or 0.5 %, while the S&P BSE SmallCap index rose 55 pts, or 0.4 %, to 14,168.
