Stock Market Latest update: Nifty goes down below 11,900 after a positive start, Sensex trades low today; IT stocks fall

Trends on Nifty SGX indicate a positive opening for the broader indices in India.

Market opening: Benchmark indices opened lower Yesterday with Nifty below 11,900 level.

IST, the Sensex is down by 47.44 pts or 0.12 percent at 39769.04, and the Nifty down by 10.40 pts or 0.09 percent at 11899.90. About 331 shares have advanced, 218 shares go declined, and 35 shares remain unchanged.



BPCL, IOC, IndusInd Bank, UPL, Asian Paints are the major gainers Today, while  Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, ONGC, HDFC, Eicher Motors, a
and Indiabulls Housing are losers Today.

On the sectoral front, IT, metal and FMCG are marginally trading lower, while buying seen in the auto, infra and energy space.
