The Nifty Realty was trading 7 per cent down at 240.45 around 10:18 am.
NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading lower in Thursday's morning session.
Shares of DLF (down 18.65 %), Oberoi RealtyNSE -5.21 per cent (down 5.97 %), Indiabulls Real EstateNSE -4.77 per cent (down 4.21 %) and Sunteck Realty (down 3.24 %) were the worst performers in the index.
Phoenix Mills (down 2.46 %), Prestige Estates Projects (down 2.38 %), Sobha (down 1.59 %) and Brigade Enterprises (down 1.51 %) too were trading in the red.
The Nifty Realty was trading 7 % down at 240.45.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was down 54.65 pnts at 10,864.05 while the BSE Sensex was down 139.30 pnts at 36,921.07.
Among the Nifty index 50 stocks, 8 were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, DLF, LIC Housing Finance, Tata Motors, SAIL, Motherson Sumi, NMDC and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
