Share market update: Metal shares decline; Tata Steel slumps 5%

The Nifty Metal index was trading 3.82 % down at 2191.70 around 10:37 am. 

Metal shares were trading with losses in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Tata Steel (down 5.52 %), JSW Steel NSE -5.23 % (down 5.30 %), VedantaNSE -4.00 % (down 4.29 %) and Hindalco Industries (down 3.91 %) were trading lower.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) (down 3.19 %), Jindal Steel & Power (down 2.99 %), NMDC (down 2.69 %) and Coal India (down 2.47 %) too were trading in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, PNB, SAIL, DLF and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
