The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.82% ⇓ at 12,703.35.
OMCs were trading with losses in Wednesday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading lower.
Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (⇓ 2.66 % ), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (⇓ 1.98 % ) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation ( ⇓ 1.67 % ) were trading with losses.
Indian Oil Corporation ( ⇓ 1.36 % ), GAIL (India) ( ⇓ 1.05 % ) and Reliance Industries ( ⇓ 0.43 % ) were trading lower.
The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.82 % ⇓ at 12,703.35.
Benchmark NSE index Nifty 50 was up 5.40 pnts at 10,953.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 44.98 pnts at 37,021.83.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading green Today, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Dish TV India, YES Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Adani Power, PNB, Spicejet and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
