The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.47 % up at 15,706.26.
OMCs were trading in the green in Monday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.
Shares of GAIL (India) (up 2.66 %) , Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.87 %) , Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 0.73 %) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.62 %) were trading higher.
Petronet LNG (up 0.41 %) , Reliance Industries (up 0.33 %) , Indraprastha Gas (up 0.17 %) and Gujarat State Petronet (up 0.16%) too were trading positive.
The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.47% up at 15,706.26.
Benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index was up 64.15 pnts at 11,954.75 while the BSE Sensex was up 170.42 pnts at 40,335.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were Negative.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Adani Power, PNB, SAIL, Indian Energy Exchange, JSPL and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
