Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 38.25 pnts ⇓ at 12,210 while the BSE Sensex was trading 113.50 pnts ⇓ at 41,499.69.
In the Nifty 50 index, UltraTech Cement, ICICI Bank, Grasim Inds., M&M and Axis Bank were among the top gainers.
While JSW Steel, Vedanta , Tata Steel, Hindalco Inds. and Tata Motors were trading in the red.
