shares were trading with gains in Friday's morning session.
Shares of Jindal Steel
& Power (up 1.26 per cent), Ratnamani Metals & Tubes (up 1.17%), Hindalco IndustriesNSE
0.20 % (up 0.72 per cent), VEDL (up 0.7 per cent), APL Apollo Tubes (up 0.49 %), Steel Authority
of India (up 0.44 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.44 per cent), JSW Steel (up 0.31%) and Hindustan
Zinc (up 0.26% ) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty Metal index
was trading 0.18% up at 2656.4 around 10:39 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 the index was up 31.45 points at 12206.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 97.7 points at 41557.49.
Among the 50 stocks in
the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone the idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, PFC, ONGC, BHEL, and SAIL were among the most traded
shares on the NSE.
